What do you think about this pistol, do any of you carry or even just own this pistol? If so what are your thoughts on it, how does it work for you?
I personally own/carry the SAXD .45 4'' service model and i LOVE it.

I was thinking about picking one of these up, it is they smallest larger caliber semi-auto on the market. My buddy has one and He loves it, I have shot it a few times and it feels pretty good. Nice feel, solid trigger pull, trigger reset seems a little long but I think it helps due to the guns size. I also like the Snag free body style...pretty good gun.

I owned one a few years ago, When they were new on the scene... Like an idiot, I sold it to fund an AR-15 purchase. I want another one.

If I get one, there are a few things I'd do:

1. Pierce Grip pinkie extensions on the mags (I hate the sleeved fullsize mags in the SC guns)

2. Install a Springer Precision Sear kit

3. Install a heavy Wolf striker spring

That combination would be ideal for carry... concealable, but with an accomodating grip, stock length/weight trigger pull except smoother and more crisp.

'Tis my carry weapon, very accurate for being 3". I'll have to say it was a bit stiff all the way around at first but if you put a couple hundred rounds through it, it works itself out nicely. I was originally in the market for the .45 compact but they didn't have one at the store I went to so I got this one. I'm very happy with the way things worked out though. The lady that helped me out (yep, you read that right) said that she owned the 9mm version and said I wouldn't be disappointed. She was right.

The MSRP is $0.00 !!

Very cool look lil guns. Might have to check em out sometime. Is the trigger like the glock? If so, that might be a turn off for me.

Looks like a Glock trigger with a grip safety. I'm thinking I could get used to that combination for that MSRP! :)

After shooting a friends XD, I was impressed enough to invest in one. I've only fired about 200rds and carried it for two weeks, but I do like the XD9SC. The fit is good for my hand, and it's well-behaved in recoil. It's not "feather weight" but saves a few ounces and an inch here and there compared to my Commander-sized 1911.

Overall, I judge it a good deal.

I carry the XD 9 SubCompact every day. It is an excellent firearm, very accurate and mine has been 100% reliable. I like the grip safety and the spare mags hold 16 rounds and come with a spacer to give you a full size grip.

I know the thread was started a bit back, but I'm new and decided to post my thoughts for others that perhaps may join late, as I did.

I do own this gun, in both 9mm and .40S&W. These are probably the most accurate "out of the box" guns that I have ever owned. I'm not a spring chicken, I am a retired marine and I have owned many many handguns in my lifetime.

As a user stated above, they take a bit to "work out" they are stiff out of the box, the trigger is heavy out of the box, but after you put around 300 rounds through them, these handguns are like butter.

I can "consistently" shoot 2 inch groups in either handgun at 25 yards. I would have "never" thought that a sub-compact gun could do this. I would never dream of selling either of these guns.

I use the .40 as my daily CCW gun, and I use the 9 as my BUG.

Had a XD9SC and just couldn't ever get the feel of it, to me it was like holding a 2x4, traded it in for a PO carry 9 , and couldn't be happier, the reason I got the XD was because of all the good things I had read about them, it just felt front end heavy to me.
