I noticed that Indiana has a bill HB1260 introduced in their legislature that would require ammunition be encoded, same thing as micro stamping I assume. Anyone one outside of there Illinois or California had such a bill introduced in their legislature. It does surprise me to hear of this introduced in Indiana. Introduced doesn't of course mean passed. Hasn't happened in Illinois.
Eternal vigilence is required of course, ones freedoms and wallets are never safe when the legislature is in session.

Indeed we did have that introduced. With an effort by the folks down in Southern IN (and my letter as well-I'll take whatever amount of credit is due me and not a bit more), I got a reply from the chairman of the committee yesterday that advised me that the bill will not receive a hearing in his committee. That bill is dead, thanks to an informed citizenry and a chairman who is responsive to the people. (And a Democrat, no less!)
I would like to use this space to thank the 2nd Amendment Patriots, a pro-gun rights group based in Southern Indiana for their efforts on this bill and also Rep. Trent Van Haaften, who remembered and honored his oath of office.
Blessings,
B
