I teach CWP classes in the Columbia, SC area.

Many members of GrassRoots GunRights of SC not only carry, but several are also top notch firearms instructors too. If you need training, a list of CWP instructors can be found on our website.

I read the rules, statutes, etc for SC CCW permits, and according to that, SLED may accept training from other (out of state entitys). My question: Would they accept Louisiana credentials in lieu of in state training?? ( Louisiana training for security officer license is the same training for CCW, consisting of 16 hours training, classroom and firing range)

Since the La class doesn't teach SC law, which is an integral part (and, in my mind, the most important), I don't believe it would fill the bill.

The SC class is a minimum of 8 hrs, comprised of class and range. 50 round course of fire at a B27, from 3 yds to 15 yds, with a min of 35 hits in the black. Couldn't be much simpler...

As I said above, I feel that the law is the most important part of the class -since they are so different from state-to-state, it makes sense to me to get the right info the first time.
