Please read:
I am relatively new to this forum, but I have been on others for a long time, had firearms for many years, and am no newbie to CCW. I hope no one takes this as me sounding like a newbie know-it-all, but I think it's important.
First of all, this seems like a very friendly forum. Others I have frequented have members who persistently bash the questions and ideas of others. I haven't seen that here.
That being said, I feel I speak from experience when I give the following advice, especially to that of new members;
Remember that the internet is not private. Things you type, even in jest, can be taken out of context. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of being in a self defense situation, internet records can be put under subpoena. I strongly advise new members not to post things like " I'd just <<<<>>> him. He deseved it".
Secondly, We use screen names. I do so because I don't want hate mail etc from antis with nothing better to do. But "Tanzer" is pretty harmless. Names like "Deathangel007" or "Killemall004" can work against you too.
Keep in mind also that anti gun folks constantly troll these sites, looking for such posts. We want to put gun owners in a good light, so as I was told some time ago, "Think twice, Post once".
