Bill of Rights

Hi everyone,
All in all, we have reason to be very proud. Brady was only able to stick us for 8 points.
We got two because gun dealers have to have a state license as well as an FFL.
We got two because, according to them, we don't have a "shoot first in public" law: I can only guess they mean that they don't think Castle Doctrine applies outside the home, but regardless, they gave us two points for it.
The hardest part was the other 4 points, though. Had SB 66 passed this session (it didn't even get heard in committee), it would have saved us two points for "Employers not forced to allow guns on premises", and had SB 65, 158, or 356 passed, we would not have gotten the two points for "Colleges not forced to allow guns on campus."
I think I'll do some research and find out what the "shoot first" law is. If it IS "Castle Doctrine" and it applies outside the home as I suspect it might, we'll just see if we can't appeal those two points and get a better rating, because as I read it, OK and KY are not exactly hotbeds of crime, while NJ and CA are, and I want our numbers to be as close to that end of the scale as we can get it.
Blessings,
B
