View Full Version : High Noon Holsters
I am pretty picky about my holsters. I wear them in many different places from the hot and humid to the Alaska cold so I do have my favorites.
I have been testing the High Noon Skin Guard for a 3 inch 1911 for a few days now and I love this thing! Since it is a 1911 style holster my Short Hi Power also fits it like a glove.
It is comfortable, just the right height and retention seems to be good. Presentation is quick with no hang ups and returning to the holsters is a no look one hand affair most of the time.
My holsters take a lot of wear and tear, we will see how this works out when it is broken in.
High Noon...so far so good!

Dan - great words - we had gotten a lot of questions on the High Noon Holsters. Ernie is also testing one.
I know that you are very particular about your tools and your complements are a very solid mark for the High Noon Holster. I like the customer support they have given us as well.
Thanks for the feed back!

Noday - you are right, but I am pleased with the shoulder rig I am testing. I have used a Galco shoulder rig for years. It is almost looking like a Frankenstien holster has I have used parts from other holsters to keep it going. It has had a lot of wear for about 8 years. It will go to the "use in the woods pile" and I am testing the High Noon Under Taker. It looks great and has a lined holster part that is better for the gun.
I am also looking at the Split Decision. This works great with a Khar K9 and jogging shorts or gym shorts. I normally do not carry a 9mm but after shooting the Extreme Shock - I will say that shooting a 9mm with Extreme Shock has the same stopping power of a regular .45 Hollow point with out the weight of the gun. The Split Decision allows you to tuck a shirt in.
The other thing I like about the High Noon Company is that they have been great to work with. Customer support has been very responsive. That plays a big role in what I buy. There are gun manufacturing and holster companies that do not even return phone calls. I do not buy or recommend thier products.
They are one of those that you need to plan a head.

Sweet, Sounds like the High noon will be a nice holster, if Dan gives it a thumbs up, I can't wait to try it out. Still waiting for mine, I am looking forward to strapping it on for my upcoming instructors course. I have nothing but good about the company. I say a few of the High Noon holsters this past weekend in Vegas. They seems like a good workable holster, but lets see how it works after I get my hands on it.....I have torn thru a few holster in the past. My only claim to fame is I ripped through a safariland level 3 service holster in a fight. It was crazy. Safariland gave me a free new holster when I sent them the remains of the other holster. So When I get mine high noon, I will update.

I work for a company that strives on customer service, there is a saying that is something to the effect of, make one customer happy and they will tell 5 friends, but make one customer mad and they will tell 20!
It is with most companies the customer care, not the product that makes the sell.
I can not tell you how many times i have looked at the site with a whole burning in my wallet. I nearly bought the Bare Asset, Tailgunner W/Straps, Speedy Spanky, and the undertaker (of course not buying them all) they all look like some holsters that would work for me, the first time i looked at the site i wanted to try them out.

I have been looking at the High Noon Holsters also and they appear to be reasonably priced and good quality. Their site is very informative and easy to use. I ordered the catalog and it came in a week. Looks even better on paper.

I have been useing a bareasset with clip since the first of the year and I love it. I don't see any way for that clip to come undone. However if we ever get a ccw bill passed here in Ill. and I were to be carrying every day , I think I would go for the split decision to help protect the extra ...uummm...meat ( fat ) on my side..LOL
