Bill of Rights

Fortunately, HB 1260 was defeated before it ever got a hearing, thanks to our group down in Southern Indiana and indeed, everyone who contacted the committee chairman. Still, the price of liberty is eternal vigilance. We'll be watching.

interesting read. this bill died in committee before a vote, which really shows how much indiana does not support the bill. im not too worried about it, but i got to thinking about how much it would spike the price of 22 long rifle ammo... it would make a box of 550 bullets around 40 dollars  thats just ridiculous, but again im not too worried

Current price of 550 .22LR ammo: about $15.
Extra $0.05 x 550 = $27.50

If the cost from the manufacturer only doubles because of the increased cost of manufacture to imprint a serial number on both the casing and the back end of the bullet, we're talking about a fourfold increase from $15 to almost $60, but that's what politicians like Crawford want to do: Make the shooting sports unattractive and prohibitively expensive. I wonder if we should do likewise with other rights, such as making it mandatory for someone to be a legislator that they must have some formal, accredited completion of a college program. Rep. Crawford's sole educational achievement consists of graduation from Crispus Attucks High School.
