I'm considering using a paddle holster for carrying concealed. I have a LTCF and would like other members input on this issue.
Thanks
I've got a Fobus paddle. Works great! Very comfortable, very secure, holds the gun until it is drawn properly, stays in my pants when I draw.

I only have one paddle holster. I've noticed that the mechanism between the paddle and the holster adds a little more thickness to the rig than I would prefer. For that reason, I rarely use it.

For years I steered away from paddle holsters thinking they would not measure up to what I expect from a holster. Then I tried a Safariland 518
Paddle Holster. Boy, was I wrong! This is one of my favorites now. It rides well, doesnt shift, nor does it come off unless you want it to.

I like paddles when out working or getting in and out of cars. They are also great to have sitting around and you can just slide the gun on as you are walking out the door.
I do not wear them every day, only when I am getting in and out of the trucks.

I like the Kydex holsters from Uncle Mike's, Fobus & BladeTech. I've tried other types, such as leather rigs, but don't like them as well. The friction devices on those seem to cause my shirts to ride up, but the Kydex designs lock onto your belt offering pretty good security.

I really like my Fobus Paddle Holster for my Beretta...the retention is excellent, almost too good. I had to 'excercise' the retention area with repeated draws to smooth out the action and it left (leaves?) a bit of plastic on the trigger guard. That said, there is NO WAY I can draw the weapon with my off hand as the stroke itself must be perfectly aligned with the holster to remove the weapon. I'm still trying to figure out if this is the way to go, based on a non-existent off hand draw. Thoughts?

A fobus paddle holster is the only way I carry in the winter underneath a coat or jacket. In spite of their relatively low price, they hold the pistol remarkably well, even better than most higher priced leather rigs. It's unfortunate that they don't conceal well under summer clothes or have a retention device, because, if not for the possibility of a gun grab, it would work great for unconcealed carry also.

Had to back off the tensioner screw on my Fobus. Once I got it adjusted to my liking, the holster has become one of my favorites.
Appropriate cover garment is vital.
