Bill of Rights

Actor Charlton Heston, president of the National Rifle Association from 1998 to 2003, died today. He was 84 years old, and the cause of death was not revealed.
I make no equivocation that I do not agree with some of the stances taken by the organization to which he lent his name and face, but Mr. Heston's famous ultimatum: "From my cold, dead hands" embodies the sentiment of American gun owners, and is a stand I wish more people would take. Personally, I hope they bury him with his rifle, symbolizing that not even from his cold, dead hands can it be taken.
Rest in peace, sir.
Blessings,
B
