I once heard that Sheriff Joe is required to provide cable TV to the inmates, so he provides Disney and if memory serves, the Weather Channel and that he pipes in Newt Gingrich's lecture series as well. A reporter once asked him if he would also get a lecture series from a Democrat as well, presumably for "balance". He replied with something like, "Listening to those guys is what got most of them here in the first place!"

You gotta love Sheriff Joe's style.
