Several states have now implemented the 'Castle Doctrine' law based upon the model promoted by the NRA, including Florida and others. What is the status of the 'Castle Doctrine' in the state of Nevada?

We NEED it to happen in the 75th (2009) legislative session.
I have notified a couple of legislators asking for a bill.
Everyone should ask for it!

Just FYI... If you're feeling adventurous, why not write the bill for them? That way, they have no real work to do to get it written, you get what you want in the bill, and we know what's offered to be proposed will be what we want. I think I may write one for IN and send it to one of the very pro-gun legislators, proposing that our LTC data, including even the fact that we have them, should be absolutely private, exceptions made only to the holder him- or herself, a LEO engaged in the investigation of a specific crime, or "Yes, that's an active and valid LTC.", when queried by a LEO confirming it, as with an out of state traffic stop. The text of a Castle Doctrine bill should be simple enough, since so many states are doing them; just pick and choose which phrases you like.
