I am intrested in buying a Kel-Tec PF-9 for a backup.

How reliable is this gun?

Has it ever jammed up on YOU?

And would you recomend this gun?

I know several people with Kel-Tecs, and I haven't heard about any problems. I've handled and shot Kel-Tecs myself without experiencing and problems. However, I never thought of a Kel-Tec as a quality firearm, but rather as a utilitarian firearm. That being said, I think it would be a perfectly acceptable choice for a back up weapon.

The only problem I had was about 5-6 FTE in the first 100 rounds, It is a gun that you carry a lot and shoot very little IMHO, it's just not a gun that I like shooting, but I do like the size, weight, 7+1.

I only have experience with the P3AT. Very happy with it and it goes bang every time. Friend of mine has a PF9 and he has no issues with it either. I'd say Kel-Tec makes good stuff.

I had nothing but problems with the p32. I had to get rid of it. I had zero confidence in the gun. Most others do not have problems though.
