Not sure when it opened, but I shot there last week.

The new range is located just past the Dump, north of town on US 95.

It has 5 ranges.

Two of the ranges are really long, for rifles...I mean really long.....

There are tables set up on each range...Not in lanes, and not really that many, but they are there....

They used the dump heavy equipment to make very high banks on each side of the ranges.

Its clean, and they have a dumpster for you to dump your used targets or whatever you bring to shoot at......

There is even a "port-a-pot"!

Now all I need to do is find a spot for Semper Firearms to hold the classroom portion of the CCW course, and we can start having clinics in Winnemucca!!!!!

Oh, and the course is FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Carl

God, I love this state!!!

Thanks t11spanner! This is exactly the kind of helpful information I'm hoping to see in the Nevada section. Keep up the good work! :D

Are you sure that they're willing to go that far? I asked Mike about Gardnerville and he wanted Reno. We ended up taking it at their classroom, which I liked.

I think if he has enough interest to make it worth the effort to come up here for a day, he will.

I am working on the American Legion (Post 5, which I am a proud member!) on a price to rent meeting hall for the day.....

And the range is only about three miles from there.......

As soon as I get a price for the room, I am gonna contact him......

Then again, he may have changed his mind since I last talked to him, but I just want to have my ducks in a row before I call him......

Now that I think of it, Mike told me that he likes the weekday classes because those are usually the open days. He might do it if you can get a pretty good sized group and set up a weekday. I know most of us work, but it's a good idea. I took mine when on vacation. It was a Wednesday. The only negative was that the Washoe County Shooting Facility was closed. We had to use BLM land, which was cool with me.

I think his weekends are scheduled for his group classes at his classroom. I don't know if you have ever taken his class before, but he's good.
