Greetings all,

I am currently waiting on my permit in the mail and have been shopping around for holsters for my Springfield XD9 subcompact. I was wondering if any of you have this weapon and do you have a concealed carry holster that has worked well for you.

I already have a smartcarry which I do like for some situations, and a leg holster from Galco which also I like for only certain clothing that I wear.

I have been considering some type of inside the waist band holster. I mainly want to find something that I could comfortably wear with khaki cargo shorts and an untucked t-shirt during the summer and also jeans and some kind of other untucked shirt during the winter.

Any recommendations?

Also I may eventually get a Glock 27 (I like 40 S&W after trying out my friend's Glock) and some type of .380 as a pocket holster pistol only.

Thanks guys.

~Josh

Personally, I don't find ITWs to be the least bit comfy. I much prefer an ITB. Here's what I use. With the right belt you hardly know it's there. It's fast and super-secure.

You could check out the Comp-Tac IWB holsters. I have the CTAC and I like it. A lot of people prefer the MTAC.

Sandhiller,

The Jak Slide was actually one that caught my eye quickly. I would definitely use it if I got the Glock 27, it seems Galco for some reason doesn't make this for the XD subcompact though. I really don't understand why as the Glock 27 and the XD subcompact are somewhat comparable in size.

I'd be willing to bet that if you call or write them they could tell which of their existing models would fit your pistol. I am certain there would be one. Mine is for 1911s and my usual carry is a Kimber 4" CDP which carries in that rig like a dream. It's on me belt as I type!
