Try www.center-of-mass.com (http://www.center-of-mass.com). They have a good product. I thought I saw one recently like that, with a combination rather than a key as well.
Good luck and

I have read through all of Michigans laws on CC and transportation and do not find any thing about leaving a gun in the the car like this, i of course would unload and store separatly but do you have any thoughts on that?

In the absence of law prohibiting, an act is lawful. I see no reason to unload and store separately if the firearm is locked away and the safe is not visible. The center-of-mass safes are recommended for under a car seat, and as long as it are there and cable-locked to the seat track, there should be no need to unload.
Choice is yours, of course, but I don't unload my gun other than in self defense unless I'm at the range (the fun way) or having to travel somewhere by air.
Note also that I Am Not A Lawyer (IANAL) and as for my comment about law above, This Is Not Legal Advice. (TINLA)

In South Carolina, you can carry in any permently attached closeable container like a glove box, center console, or trunk. The container does not have to be locked and you can be fully loaded, cocked and locked if you choose. Here's the Reference:
"SECTION 16-23-20. Unlawful carrying of handgun; exceptions.
(9) a person in a vehicle if the handgun is secured in a closed glove compartment, closed console, closed trunk, or in a closed container secured by an integral fastener and transported in the luggage compartment of the vehicle; however, this item is not violated if the glove compartment, console, or trunk is opened in the presence of a law enforcement officer for the sole purpose of retrieving a driver’s license, registration, or proof of insurance;"
And on a seperate but related law for travelers:
"SECTION 23-31-230. Carrying concealed weapons between automobile and accommodation.
Notwithstanding any provision of law, any person may carry a concealable weapon from an automobile or other motorized conveyance to a room or other accommodation he has rented and upon which an accommodations tax has been paid."
