Finally,
I guess the thread is gone ( :( bummer, but oh well ) that I last posted to regarding finally applying for my lifetime IN LTC permit ... I think I mailed it around 8-15 ... and got it this past weekend ... :) yeah.
oh - and Bill of Rights ... just looking at it I figured out the confusion with the whole 'unlimited' terminology in the law governing the actually carry permit ... vs. the hunting law's mention of 'personal protection' ... I applied for the 'unlimited' LTC ... and was approved ... the actual permit however says 'personal protection' on the form ...
nice and confusing ... just the way they probably want it so fewer people excersize the right ...

It is a great day to get your Permit. Did you run out to Wall Mart to go shopping right away? That seems to be one of the first things people do!

Actually, no I didn't make the wally world run. Primarily because the only carry choice I have is an old H&R .22 LR revolver (9 shot) ... with an open carry (like carry me in your hand) OWB belt holster ... its not a good CCW ... but I may take it along when I start Archery Season (the FWA is next to the state pen; and I go in way early, so I can't have a arrow nocked).
Something ready is better than nothing ... and at least I can now take it to the range and get my wife out to shoot a bit ...

I've been able to do some .22 shooting with my Mom and Sisters. Everyone I've heard has recommended starting with that cartridge. :)

You know the old saying about wishing in one hand and doing something else in the other and seeing which one fills up first? There's a better use for your time. Instead of just wishing someone else would make it happen, get involved! Contact your legislators in person. Get known by name and face. Find a gun-friendly legislator and get him or her to introduce the bill you want. Use our stats to bolster your case, but don't just sit around wishing for it. I think it was Gandhi who said you must "Be the change you wish to see in the world." When it comes to laws concerning our freedoms, truer words were never spoken.
The group that made IN's Lifetime LTC happen started off as about 11 people. They still meet in a local VFD station once a month. It CAN be done, but someone has to DO it. Might as well be you, right?
Blessings,
B
