My carry habit has changed of late. My wife has finally gotten over her prejudice against my wearing open tail shirts. So, no more tuck in problem. I've started carrying in a kydex paddle holster, and I love it. Outside carry is SO much more comfortable than inside the waistband, and it's a relief not to be dragging a bag around anymore. I do believe that guns were made to be carried in outside holsters!

I agree, I've been using a Fobus for the last year whenever I can, and love it much more IWB. I've heard complaints that it kicks the gun out a little too far for some, but I don't find that to be the case.

With the onset of winter weather here, I too have gone the shirt tails out. I tuck in a pocket T-shirt then the tailed shirt over that left open for now. But I still have the INSIDE holster carry. I have gotten used to that carry and have to think about it to notice the weapon as unlike my cell phone I sure DON'T want to hand check it!!!!!

Huh? I've been using Fobus holsters for several years, and I've yet had one "kick the gun out." Perhaps I'm not clear on what that means. As long as you have a firm grip, the draw should be smooth and quick.

I think "kicking out" refers to the butt of the gun standing out further, so it is harder to conceal. A well fitting holster should keep the butt of the gun pressed in against the body producing the slimmest profile possible.

Yeah, I meant that the gun is held farther off the body than other types of holsters.

I don't find it a problem, and I find it much preferable to IWB carry.
