I waited too long to pick up a semi auto in 308/7.62 NATO. ALL the shops around here sold out the day AFTER the election. And the shops are NOT taking orders. A BAD sign that is!!!

That's why I have been buying steadily for quite awhile. Got all I need but still hunt for bargains.

You have hit my big 'fear' on the head. I have a list of a few items I'd really like (or need) to find ... but a tight budget (and no room for 'deficit spending' :nono:) and things for grandson #1 :rockwoot: are taking precedent ... I figure the 2 or 3 things I'd really like to find will either cost twice as much  or not be available at all  ... hopefully we can get people "notivated" (= note writing motivated) to help and keep the rights to get them later ... Good luck finding what you're looking for BP ...

That's why I beat feet to the local gunstore the Saturday before the election and put my M&P15 on layaway to lock in the price. I didn't think they'd have any left, but sure enough they did.
Paid it off two days after the election and was surprised they had boosted the prices on the remaining AR's over $300.00. I wouldn't have guessed them going up THAT much, but rare forethought saved me a bunch of money and I was able to tell the missus how much I saved (instead of spent).
Of course, me being me, I forgot about the gaddurned BULLETS! Yep, there was a run on .223/5.56 and the prices reflect it.

I know a guy stocking up on ALL high cap mags too. Figures when Bam Bam the Marxist makes his move the price will really go up and then he will be sitting on a lot of money when he sells the ones he doesn't actually need.
BIG gun show in Indy on Jan, so I am hopeful I can find one there.
This POTUS has me paranoid!! I find myself stocking away food and ammo and other things I woudl have found nuts even 6 months ago. And I DON'T mean just enough for the times we will get snowed in etc. I mean LONG TERM. This guy scares me!! And I don't scare that easily. I am known to remain cool and calm even while standing ON a 4 foot Timber Rattler. Been there Done that!!!! TWICE!!

I have marlin .22 LR semi - I got a 25 round 'banana' mag before the '94 ban ... wish I had gotten few more - no one makes these anymore ... so I'm stuck w/ the 7 or 10 (probably buying a few 10 round ones) soon. (I guess my point is: even if they become 'legal' again or aren't completely banned - they may disappear.)
I will probably be looking at stuff at the show too. hopefully w/ some cash and hopefully its before Jan 20 ... or we may have extra 'loopholes' to jump through.
and lastly - if you're within a few feet of one of those critters you better be super cool. I may not be quite that cool - but I think I'm pretty cool- but with the new POTUS and the elected Congress ... well I think we all better be on our toes; and buy now ... if you can ...
