This link was posted over on Surivialblog.com this morning for a Glock 21:

Well, that's very funny, and I must say it couldn't have happened to a nicer gun! (That's just a little 1911 humor.)

Problem: New and inexperienced shooters who don't know any better, might think that Glocks are special and different, and don't need normal care. Wrong! When your life depends on it, you want that Glock to be clean and well lubricated, just like you would any other handgun.

I recently completed a 4 day defensive pistol course that involved shooting over 1,000 rounds, many in rapid fire. There was a firing line of 40+ shooters. I watched for the inevitable malfunctions, and I saw a number of Glocks fail. They were no different than the other weapons out there. In fact, being that there were more Glocks there than any other brand, I feel confident in saying that more Glocks failed. These were just typical failures to feed or eject. The guns that failed were dirty, had not been cleaned and lubed from previous days shooting, and were therefore simply unreleable.

So, bottom line: Glocks are fine guns, but keep them clean and oiled so they can do their job.

Oh I AGREE!! Clean and lubed is the ONLY way to go!! Take care of your weapon and it will take care of you.

I did think what he did was interesting while at the same time I wanted to smack him up side the head with a steel I-beam. Who would go out if their way to TRY and destroy such a fine weapon? CRIMINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uhhhh, I thought he was trying to break a bottom feeder, not a "fine weapon".

A little wheelgunner humor for VG.
