SB 12 has started in the Georgia Senate. The same basic bill that is being seen in several states, it requires a serial number for ammo before it can be sold. May be time to start writing your reps.

May be time to invest in reloading equipment....

They had a bill like this in Illinois this year, also a one gun a month bill and magazine capacity limit and others none passed. Hopefully you have an organization in your state like the Illinois Rifle Association which has lobbyists in your capital fighting against these types of bills. Fortunately you don not have Chicago in your state, and the mentality that its state legislators have.

I'm not sure with the wording that would help. Maybe if you kept it strictly for yourself. Here's an excerpt:
16-11-191.(a) On and after January 1, 2010, all handgun ammunition manufactured in this state, sold or offered for sale in this state, imported into this state for sale or personal use, kept for sale in this state, or given, lent, or possessed in this state shall be coded by the manufacturer of the ammunition in accordance with the rules and regulations of the department.(b) Not later than January 1, 2012, all noncoded handgun ammunition, whether owned by private citizens or commercial entities, shall be disposed of in accordance with the rules and regulations of the department.

Start calling and writing representatives RIGHT NOW and get everyone else you know to do likewise. We had this come up in IN last session and the bill never even got heard in committee due to the outcry of response. They can be beaten, but it takes lots of calls and lots of mail... note that I said mail, not email.
Good luck!
Blessings,
