BP ...

Looks like you can take your weapon, but it must be unloaded and 'tagged' when you go in to the show ...

this list rules for exhibitors ... but read rules 9, 11 and 13. ...

yes you can carry but NO LOADED WEAPONS state police check all firearms when you bring them in and put a zip tie through the barrel and action to show its unloaded so if your not wanting to sell or trade it do what I do, leave it in the truck, its not worth the hastle.

Good answers...

And there is only one "stupid question" when it comes to firearms: That question is, "Is it loaded?", because the Four Rules specifically say that All Guns Are ALWAYS Loaded!" ;)

Thanks, guys!

Always loaded! I once removed 6 rounds from a G98 8mm, 5 in the box mag and 1 in the chamber IE ALL it could be loaded with, so it couldn't be loaded. Further 2 others VERY familar with firearms counted the rnds as I unloaded. We were all Air Force Police and it was a habit to watch and verify that our weapons were cleared. Then to top it off, ALL my spent cases plus my unfired were accounted for in the ONLY reload case I took hunting that day! 20 rnds ALL accounted for. Oh and I had completely stipped the weapon down and cleaned it the night before AND function checked it!

Well let me just say that we were in the middle of Nowhere Montana and the weapon was pointed in a safe direction when the function check PROVED that, no matter the shell count and THREE DIEEFERENT people VERIFIED checking the unloading it was indeed loaded.

That was more than 26 years ago, and it STILL scares me $***less! I came really close to selling all my firearms and walking away from all shooting. What could have happened IF....?

Now, even if the temp is 80 below I take off ALL my gloves and stick my pinky finger in the chamber, remove the bolt and LOOK down the barrel, then hold down the follower for as long as I can while closing the bolt. Even then I don't trust it!

AND I STILL don't know where that round came from! When I got home I checked my counts and STILL everything was accounted for. And I was the only person with an 8mm so I could not have gotten mixed up and loaded someone else's round.

This is NOT good for my blood pressure even now. It WILL be the FIRST question I ask God when I get there. I HAVE GOT TO KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH! I did go. My first time and it was huge. Bought an AR-15 Panther LR 308 in .62X51.

I looked and looked and looked and had given up finding one. Then while making my way to the exit I heard a vender tell someone he has several AR-15 in BOTH 223 and 308. So I bought the 308.

Have not fired it yet. Life ya know? Maybe Sunday I hope
