Hello.

I really love this website, it very helpful.
I was wondering if any Maryland CCW permit owners out there could give me some advice on getting my permit.
I know Maryland is VERY hard to get approved for, but I feel I meet the requirements.
I have a legallly registered and valid Maryland online business with a valid business checking account.
I regularily (about once every 7-10 days) make cash deposits into this account ($400-800)
for my business and according to the permit requirements, this meets one of the criteria to be approved.
Should I say and provide the minimum documents with my application, or is it better to be open and provide account statements and business information?
I have several out of state CCW's and my criminal record is clean.
I was wondering before I submit my paperwork, if there was any Maryland permit owners who could give me some advice or help that might make my application go smoother.
I'm basically a cash or check business and don't do credit cards or electronic payments (I prefer not to pay the fees and worry about identity theft) so cash and check deposits are my norm.
Do you think I have a valid chance of being approved, and I realize it would probably be restricted to business use only, but I'll take that over no permit anyday in this state.
Sorry if this is too wordy, but I really would like to get this and any help from anyone out there would be appreciated.
Thanks for any time you can spare.

Pittbull, I'm not from Maryland, and never lived there. I know that www.opencarry.org says that Maryland is in the top 5 of the states for firearms restrictions and they say it helps if you are "rich and well connected" for getting a Maryland LTC. I looked at the application for Maryland under "The Law" here and saw that it has 3 spaces for references. I imagine you aren't rich, so if I were you I'd get the best references I could. Maybe a state representative or state senator if you've known them for 2 years, since the application goes to the state police maybe a state trooper? If you were in Illinois you might give a sizeable birthday gift to the governors daughter, he'd probably say he knew you his whole life then, and vouch for your character. Of course if Illinois had LTC using the governor for a reference probably wouldn't be the best idea, maybe in late February when the Blagojevich impeachment trial is over and there is a new one.
