I recently bought a tactical shotgun, a Mossberg 930SPX. I called around town to all the gun stores, and there wasn't one in stock anywhere. No surprise there being that they're new and popular. I asked each shop about ordering, and the friendliest, most cooperative response I got was from the lady I was talking to at Master Shooters Supply. So, I went to their shop and placed my order.

Master Shooters Supply is located at 4017 West Sahara Ave, just West of S. Valley View Blvd. It's in a sting of shops fronted by a parking lot, and close to a rather imposing replica of the Statue of Liberty. It has a big, yellow "AMMO" sign on the facade. That should make it easy to find.

It's a small gun store, and appears to be a mom and pop operation. Anyway, it has that kind of personal and friendly feel to it. After a call to their distributor, which I witnessed, I was quoted a price which I accepted. I gave them a modest deposit on the order. It took about three weeks for them to get the gun. I was in contact with them each week, and they were very cooperative and apologetic about how long it was taking. That was no surprise to me, as I knew the SPXs were back ordered all over the country. When the call came, I went to the shop to get the gun and pay the balance owed. I was told they had good news for me. The price they paid was lower than what their distributor had originally quoted, so they passed the savings on to me! I thought that was extremely honorable of them.

I was very pleased with the service and will definitely do business there again.

How about that! I bought my AK47 through them. They were everything you said they were. Extremely helpful. The place that sent them my AK sent an underfolder instead of a wood stock, and they chopped a few bucks off the price for me because of the hassle. A bunch of good guys there, I'd recommend anyone to go there instead of some of the "other" places.

I now have a DPMS AR on order through Master Shooters.

Their basic policy is to add $30 to the price of guns costing them less than $1,000, and add $60 to the price of guns costing them more than $1,000. That seems very fair to me.

However, when I was in the store yesterday I saw something even more interesting. For $45 (annual fee, I think) you can sign up for their gun buyers club. Then, you can buy as many guns as you want, and they will only add $15 to their cost for each gun you buy. How could you ever beat that deal?

How could you ever beat that deal?

Get your own FFL, order at wholesale, don't pay any fees, and have it mailed via US Postal service directly to you.

THAT'S how! http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd198/St-Michael/roflmao.gif

In all seriousness, I'm jealous. An AR is one of my next planned firearm purchases, but I'll likely do like I did with my AK and build it myself. I love a challenge.

Blessings,
