It happened at about four o'clock Sunday afternoon near 21st and Riverside Drive. The gunman, who we are not naming because no charges have been filed, pulled in to a parking lot near 21st and Riverside and that's when police the other man, identified as 48-year-old Dale Turney, confronted him.
"The (shooter) pulled in to watch the concert," says Corporal Gene Watkins. "The other person did a U-turn and went back to the area that the guy was parked and an altercation occurred."
Watkins says the shooter had health issues and warned Turney that he had a weapon.
"According to witnesses he did notify that he had a weapon and that did not deter the other person," Watkins said. "He did have physical problems that wouldn't enable him to fight back or run or get away from the victim."
