how bout a "hot deals" section that people can tell others about bulk ammo, or whatever is on sale for a great price online?

My only concern would be that it would turn into a "free ad" section for those trying to sell stuff themselves.

Of course, misuse leading to being barred from the site might serve as a good deterrent.

I fully understand your "free ad" concern. On the local level, this is taken care in our Nevada section in the Sticky, "About this Topic," where it is stated:

"This Topic is meant to be informative and helpful to Nevada residents and visitors alike. It is not meant to be an advertising or sales tool for any specific stores. So, please limit your posts and comments to your own personal experiences and observations. Please feel free to politely rate or critique your shopping experiences in our local gun stores. And, if you see a product or service that you especially like, please feel free to recommend it to us."

So far there haven't been any abuses, but there hasn't been a whole lot of activity yet either. In any event, as the Nevada Moderator, I will quickly delete any commercial or ad type posts that may appear.
