Yeah!!! Score another one for the good guys. Every time I see a news story that appears to be on the side of the true victim, I am amazed. It's not uncommon to see the media twist the story and make it look like the burglar is the victim because he got shot.

Charge the intruder and put him away. Give the innocent man a metal for doing his part to get criminals and thugs off the streets.

Good job!!!! :D

I agree. It was nice to see the media put a positive spin on a story like this, and it was great to see LE give the victim due credit for exercising his RKBA. :D

Did you notice that the story was in an Orlando paper about the incident, in Gainesville. I don't think it is that unusual for a local paper to get things right. Look for the story nationally if the AP gets hold of it. It will probably be like the killings at the Appalachian School of Law or the Pearl Mississippi high school, the national accounts failed to mention the killers were stopped by armed civilians, the few papers that do mention it are usually instate newpapers 95% or more of the papers carrying it will not tell the whole story.

Glenn Beck had a bit on the radio show and has the transcript....

 This is Ray Charles - I loved him in the Blues Brothers. He was a great shot in that movie!!!! We love Ray.

Hum ... I have some shooting friends who might be blind. At least they might insofar as their marksmanship is concerned. 8)

Seriously, that's a great article! Thanks for posting it.

Somehow, this story makes me envision the 75 year old retired guy, the BG coming in his front door, and the gun coming out.... to the tune of "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".
