FYI - I just installed Leopard yesterday on two Macs, my Mac Pro, and my Mac Book Pro. The installations were very easy. No problems at all. They took about 45 minutes each. All of my personal settings, etc., were properly retained, and so far, all of my applications and peripherals work just fine.

The only thing out of the ordinary that's happened was some difficulty opening an email attachment. It was an image file with an .eml file extension. For some reason, my Mac was trying to open it using Microsoft's Outlook Express, and Parallels was balking due to a missing driver issue. I had to reassign the default application for opening .eml files to Mac's Mail program, then everything was OK.

So, all in all, the upgrade to Leopard is going just fine. I'll report again if anything untoward happens.

I am impressed with the Mac Laptops and looking at getting them for the kids as they head out to college......I may be pining you for information.

I got my first PC back in 1978. I was strictly a PC guy until a year or so ago. Now, I have three Macs, the two mentioned above, and my wife's iMac. I really love to talk about my Macs, and I'll be more than happy to share information with anyone who's interested.

I've had Macs and PC's and as far as I'm concerned Macs are best when it comes to desktop publishing. The other benefit is that you don't have to worry about viruses with Macs. When it's time for a new computer, I'm definitely switching back to Mac.

Thanks for the feedback, VG.
