Now if we can get the others to follow suit...

George made a good point the other day, that we are in a sad state of affairs when the individual states pick and choose which parts of the Constitution they will and will not obey.

"...shall not be infringed" is pretty da*n clear to me!

Blessings,

It isn't surprising that firearm manufacturers are looking at relocating from Illinois to states like Idaho. Last year there was a bill to outlaw some of the "evil black rifles" manufactured here, this would have only outlawed sales to civilians. The anti-gun legislators argued the manufacturers could still sell to the other states. This year there was a similar bill, that would have outlawed manufacture as well. Neither went through. The magazine ban went nowhere as well. There are no manufacturers in the Chicago area so the anti-gun politicians there don't have to worry about constituants losing jobs. I can't really blame the firearms companies for looking into relocation, I would.

Illinois doesn't seem to mind running existing businesses out of the state. A couple years ago there was a dramatic increae in license fees for big trucks. Some major trucking companies decided to "vote with their feet" on the matter. As I recall the increase was something like $1000 per truck and one with 100's of trucks left.
