Here's a story from my local newspaper. The guy who was arrested lives not too far from my house. I'm always suspicious of the lamestream media when reporting stories such as this one, so I thought I'd share the story to get reactions from some of you here. The article says five of his guns "violated firearms regulations." What does that mean? The article says he owned "materials" that could be used in manufacturing bombs. What does that mean? Many farmers in the area own "bomb making materials," but they don't build bombs. The article says the police "seized anti-government propaganda." So what? Since when is it illegal to disagree with your government? I do it all the time. The reporter who wrote this article is obviously biased toward guns, so I'm being cautious about the whole thing. The only thing I see so far is the marijuana charge, but hey, Bill Clinton inhaled too, so maybe he was just following in the footsteps of our former Commander-in-Chief. (After all, Bill Clinton was such a good role model for the youth of America. ) So far the readers are not jumping on the anti-gun bandwagon as indicated by the comments at the end of the story. What do you all think? Here's the link.

Oh, and here's the link to the television news report. It has more pictures to look at. BTW, yesterday's news coverage was even more sensational. It said that Federal charges may be filed, but so far the feds haven't gotten involved. I'm also wondering if this guy has been influenced by Rosie O'Donnell since he believes in the same 9/11 government conspiracy. Maybe she should be arrested for disturbing the peace.

"Snider, a postal worker ...." Well, that sort of explains it.

It's hard to tell what to think about this case as far as the weapons charges are concerned. There aren't enough specifics in the story. Obviously, if the guy had fully automatic weapons laying around, and real bomb making materials, then there is a problem. But, if he just had semi autos, and some fuel oil and fertilizer stored in his barn, the whole thing is probably a crock.

I thought of the postal connection too.

From what one of the guy's friends is saying the conservation officer had been warned to stop trespassing on his property, and there was a feud of sorts between the two. I just don't trust the liberal media, and in our area, it's just that. I'll be watching the details closely.
