"Technically anyone who carries an operable firearm without a carry permit at re-enactments is in violation of New Jersey gun law," said Mueller, adding that the Wild West City case "is a perfect example of what could happen. It's dangerous."
I am sorry a man got hurt, but why are they doing a Dodge City Shoot out in New Jersey and loading live rounds? This is a very bad exhample and will be used by the anti-gun folks.

This is what happens when you have an entire state with restrictive laws, people who think(?)http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd198/St-Michael/drool.gif there's a "magic bubble" of safety created, and thus, don't take the time to learn (on their own, not because of a state mandate) how to operate their tools safely.

Disclaimer: I'm sure there are intelligent people in NJ. Sadly, it does not seem that any of them are in government and thus, empowered to make changes.

If I'm not mistaken, there has been a long, inglorious history of negligent theatrical shootings; in legitimate theater, the movies, and in TV productions. It's sad, but shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. It certainly says nothing about general firearms safety, or the alleged dangers of guns in our society. I view it as just another aspect of the unreality of theater.

Personally, I think it just says one thing, but it says it very well:
Charles Darwin was RIGHT!
