Anti-gun people talk about how the U.S. has such a high murder rate and we need to ban guns and pass more restrictive gun laws. If you look at the murder rates in countries Mexico is #6 with a rate of .130 per 1000, the U.S. is #24 with .042 per 1000. Since we have millions of illegal aliens here, the majority from Mexico, how much is our murder rate affected by them being here.
Apparently some U.S. sanctuary cities don't understand "illegal" at all. They arrest illegals for crimes but never report them to Immigration! I like the idea that any sanctuary city doesn't get a dime of federal money.

Probably fairly heavily affected. I was "talking" to someone in an email today, who claimed that if it was not for Christians, the RKBA would be even more eroded than it is now. I contended that while that is true, it's not because they're Christians, it's just a numbers game:
(Note that these numbers are not meant to be exact or even close, only illustrative)
100 American citizens
70% Christian
10% Jewish
20% Other (or no) religion
100 American citizens
60% pro-RKBA
20% anti-RKBA
20% don't give a $#!t about the RKBA
Which means that:
42 Christians
6 Jews and
12 others are pro RKBA
14 Christians
2 Jews and
2 others are anti RKBA
and
14 Christians
2 Jews, and
2 others couldn't care less about the RKBA.
There are still lots more Christians who are in favor, but not because they're Christian.
By the same token, with that many people who've already demonstrated they don't care about our laws because to their way of thinking, their needs trump those of our country, our crime rate will go up.
If NYC and Chicago together have ten million people, which is just over three percent of the total US population, their crime rate, being "gun control cities" is going to skew the national results badly.
I wonder how the national crime stats would look for the past 21 years if we removed the five most "gun controlled" (not criminal controlled) cities from the calculations?
Cogito, ergo porto.
Blessings,
M
