I finally got my account activated. Thanks for your help Dan. I've been here since Oct. 17th but haven't been able to post yet. I'm an old member of packing.org and that's where I started my research into ccw though I haven't completed the process as yet. I'm of the mind that research in anything is key to doing things right and have been taking my time to make sure there are no snags along the way. I finally managed to get my weapon of choice thanks to the folks and the reviews over at xdtalk.com, an XD40SC. I've only managed to get about 150 rounds down range yet but man that's one accurate pistol for being that small. Anyway, it's good to finally be here and I'm looking forward to the day when I don't have to keep it in my console.

Springfield XD40 sub-compact: $474.99
Mega pack of ammunition: $67.99
The quality of sleep I now have because I know I can now defend my family: priceless

Sorry about the length of time. We are getting so many requests from folks that do not belong on this forum. We do not want Porn or advertising for non CCW related issues.

We want any or all of the old Packing.org folks that want to contribute to a new, fun, positive place to exhange information.

I am glad you send an email in and that helped wade through the process.

Thanks again, and we are looking forward to your posts. Keep us informed on what is going on in your neck of the woods.

I really like your signature.

It's not a problem really, I'm probably the most stubborn person on the planet when it comes to these things. I've been on the internet so long that nothing phases me anymore. As for the signature thing, well... I hadn't planned on it being taken that way as it was part of the text and a continuation of a far too overused joke on the net but now that you mention it, I think I'll use it for that for awhile. As I mentioned in General, I think I'm going to try and extract from the various places where packing.org is cached as much information as I can and try an consolidate it again. It's a shame I didn't mirror it back when it was still up as is my habit for sites where I find the information useful enough to return to more than twice.

Welcome to the forum! I'll be interested to see what you can resurrect from the old packing.org site. It's good to see our States showing up here.
