So former state police superintendent Massengill minimizied the notion that Cho (the Virgina Tech killer) could have been stopped had students or teachers been allowed to carry guns. Why is that do police have special magic guns and ammo, or does the mere sight of their uniforms stop killers in their tracks. Unfortunately Mr. Massengill won't learn from history. Three school massacres were stopped by civilians with firearms Pearl Mississippi, where the assistant principle had to run 1000 feet to his car, outside the safe school zone, Appalacian School of Law, and Edinboro, Pa. Those who don't learn from history will repeat it. What will Mr. Massengill say when the defenseless are killed again?

I guess Mr. Massengill expects that the police can keep us safe at all times, like Luby Cafeterria where 23 people died, before Texas concealed carry. The police were only a short distance away. How many fewer people would have been killed if Suzanna Hupp had been allowed to carry a handgun? It was in her car! How many people would have died if that assistant principle in Pearl, Mississippi had the handgun on his person rather than 1000 feet away?
