Since Illinois does allow business owers to carry a firearm at their "fixed" place of business, I'd be interested in hearing of any who do. On another forum a while back someone mentioned a gun shop owner who did. Of any business owner who would I'd expect it to be a gun shop owner. I bought a handgun a while back from an Illinois gun shop owner, my second purchase from him, he asked about the first handgun I'd bought. I said it was in "the fanny pack". (being transported unloaded as per Illinois edict. Loaded mag enclosed) He mentioned having a small handgun on him, "can't be too careful" he said.

I used to work for a fellow who had a vending company here in southern Illinois. He'd take the cash to the bank to deposit. He carried a handgun and the banker knew it! I'm sure his was loaded, so he wasn't legal of course.

Yes, he was. The unConstitutional IL laws were not. Lady Di pointed this out a while back: When we start using the other side's thinking, they win. I'll not let them define the field nor terms of battle. While I'll fight from within the system, the simple fact of Chief Justice John Jay's words, "All laws repugnant to the Constitution are null and void." (Marbury v. Madison) make it clear that the Second Amendment, which does not define by whom the RKBA shall not be infringed, therefore protects us all, from any such infringement.

This seems to be splitting hairs, and of that I have no intention, but this is an important point.

With respect and

Blessings,
M

Excellent point St. Michael, I should have said he wasn't conforming to unconstitutional Illinois firearm laws. (there are a lot of them) That sounds better to me, too.
