Range at Home

I just thought I'd mention the range I frequent most. It is in my yard. This is in a undisclosed location in Southern Illinois near the Shawnee National Forest. I have a couple neighbors who have "home ranges" as well. Then there is a 2 friends at church who also have a "home range". I joked on another forum that - You may be from Southern Illinois if your shooting range is in your backyard. Anyone else have a home range? I imagine that in some parts of Illinois gun fire from neighboring property would be a cause for concern. I just know I have close backup in an emergency, quicker than 911.

I live in a city, and my neighbor's house behind me is withing easy rock throwing distance. So, no backyard range for me. But, my Desert Sportsman range is only 10 minutes away, and is open 24/7. I don't feel too deprived. :D

unfortunatley i live in the city but i would like to own enough land that i can dedicate 20 or so acres to shooting
