My roommate and I are looking for some home defense trainning preferably non leathal trainning granted i am a big guy and in most cases i can hold my own, but just like anyone else i have many weaknesses...so I ask do you know of any trainning facilities/trainners for home defense?

The only places i know of are the USSA and NRA which are both around 400+

I am also considering getting a closed circut camera that can be viewed in both my room and roommates room only this way if we ever hear someone makeing a crap load of noise in our living room we can look at our tv's and see if it a friend or not.

Just like eveyone else i don't want to be caught in code white.

Nodaywithout - that is a great question. If you can manage the time and dedication, I might recommend finding a Dojo or Martial Arts program to start with. While Martial Arts is not the end all answer to home defense, it is a great start.

My family has benefited from the training. Shots were fired just outside of the house and I was not home. My daughter was able to get the dogs and get to one of the two rooms in the house with a pole that goes under the door.

She watched TV with the dogs in a secure room with an alarm, her martial arts training and a cell phone.

We are going to get into defensive and home tactical information. We have several contributors writing for home defense now.

Thanks for the question, and we would like to hear any other suggestions.

Thanks that is a great idea...the real question is if there are dojo's open on sundays i guess it is time to get the yellow book out huh. not to mention i need the exercise.

There is another thing that I would love to see a review on different small safes.
