Now this is more like it. The bad guy's dead, and the citizen who was just protecting himself is gone. I think that's perfect. The police don't need to know who the intended victim was. Let him remain anonymous.
It is a shame he couldn't have killed both of the bad guys, though. Now, assuming a successful prosecution, WE get to foot the bill for the other dirt bag's 20 year holiday.
