I bought one from Cross Breed... it's not bad, I guess. But no retention strap, and it isn't wholly leather (looking for comfort here).

What I'd really like:

1) Leather
2) Retention strap
3) Tuckable (able to tuck shirt in over holster and gun)
4) Ability to access/draw quickly (no deep concealment)
5) BONUS: hidden or easy to conceal belt straps

Any suggestions?

I use a Milt Sparks Versa Max II tuckable. It does not have a retention strap.

If the gun is concealed, why do you need a retention strap? The retention strap was originally designed for open carry. Will the firearm concealed, nobody knows it is there to take from you.

Hmmm... my instructor said he would use a strap to insure the gun doesn't fall from the holster inadvertently, but then he mentioned that about ALL holsters, including OWB, etc. I guess I don't NEED the retention strap....

I have looked at the Milt Sparks... unfortunately, they don't make one for my Kahr MK9 (that I have found). I may have to consider my G23 for carry... more holster options.

Using a leather holster, the holster pinches at the triggerguard. I've never had a gun fall out of the holster. I've been carrying concealed since 1984.

Good to know! Thank you!

I'll have to call Milt Sparks next week and see if they can make one for a Kahr.

There is also a leather holster maker on EBay call TT Gunleather. His product is very similar to the Milt Sparks. You may wish to contact them to see if they may be able to help.

Just ordered another holster from TT Gunleather. Was informed that he now only occasionally sells on Ebay. But you can google him, I have read good things about him on atleast 3 gun forums.

Hey QNman, this one appears to meet most of the needs on your list...

Haven't used it, don't know anyone who has. I was just browsing their website, happened upon this, and remembered seeing this thread.

I really like my CTAC from Comp-tac, which meets your criteria very nicely, except for #1- it's Kydex. However, it has the option of a specific belt connection which, if memory serves, they call the "V-clip" (as opposed to J, C, or one other one that I don't recall.) This thing comes up over the waistband of your pants, then velcros securely (no, this is reportedly not an oxymoron) to the back of your belt, and is as close to invisible as I think is possible. I cannot give a personal recommendation on the V clip as I chose a different mounting, however, the holster itself is very comfortable for me.
