I like the kydex holsters from Blackhawk when I am carrying a full size pistol under the appropriate cover garments. But for more concealment and for my smaller profile carry gun, the Glock 39, I use the Don Hume belt slide.

It is a quality, form fitted leather holster that keeps the gun tucked in nicely. I wear it between 3 and 4 o'clock depending on the belt loop configuration of the pants I am wearing that day. A long T-shirt or sweatshirt or even an open front colared shirt work well to keep this piece concealed.

While we are at it, I wear a single Blackhawk mag carrier on my support side with a 10 round mag and a single flashlight carrier right behind it with my Streamlight. Remember, most CCW shootings happen in low light.[/url]

I agree. I have a slide type holster that I picked up at a gun show. Mine is just a no name piece of leather that I picked out of a whole big basket of them. It holds my compact 1911 just as securely as my open Galco holster. The full holster looks dressier, but the slide functions just as well.

I have several of Hume's JIT slides, for both autos and revolvers. They are probably the best value on the market without compromising the quality of materials and the comfort of the carry. I particularly like the rear slot that tucks the gun securely into the body. I like mine a lot.

Bought mine second hand also.
Love it.
Black, blends in with black belt and black jeans.
No one has asked; if they do -- hey, it's a handy place to stick my pliers when I'm working around the house.

I just came in after a day down on the Strip here in Vegas. The wife and I went out to eat at a casino buffet, then to the Fashion Show mall. I wore my slide holster, covered by a shirt jacket all day. Very comfy and secure.

I carry a SIG 229 SAS and a Smith and Wesson M&P 40C both in slide holsters. Without a doubt for me the most comfortable way to carry.
