VagasGeorge,Its nice to know that loaded handguns can be carried in the vehicle glove box without a permit. It would be nicer if Nevada recognized some other states permits, like Utah.
I found it interesting that LasVagas requires the registration of handguns, sounds almost like Chicago, except they just register everything else. And a 3 day waiting period to buy, were they reading Illinois gun laws? Do you have to carry that "blue card" when you're packing in Vagas? Are loaded firearms allowed in a motel room you rent?

P.S. I need to withdraw the criticism about not recognizing the Utah permit, just read the post about CCW reciprocity. Keep it up and add Pennsylvania while you're at it.

Yes, in Clark County (Las Vegas) both the blue card and the CCW permit must be with at all time when you a carrying concealed, and the blue card with you when carrying openly.

Hate to bring up an old subject (especially since I'm new to the forum and all) but do you remember which law states that you can carry a loaded firearm in a glovebox without a permit (I assume you mean CCL)? I havent been able to find anything, probably due to there being so many laws.
Thank you very much.

It is said you no longer have to carry the "blue card" with you when in possession of a handgun. See www.lvmpd.com/permits/firearms_registration.html
You should carry the gun registration card (not required) whenever you are in possession of the registered firearm.

I'm always going to carry the blue card too. I don't want some Dudley Doright holding me, or confiscating my gun, until it can be established that it is properly registered. Since I have to carry the CCW anyway, and have only one carry gun, it's no big deal for me to carry the blue card too.
Say, if Montana is really going to secede if the SCOTUS dumps on us in the Heller case, I just might be interested in moving there.
