I asked about Wisconsin transport laws on Wisconsinshooters forum. It seems to be the same as for Illinoisans with a FOID card. Anyone travel with an firearm unloaded and full magazine with it in a case, kept handy in the passenger compartment? No folks outside Illinois and Wisconsin that isn't a loaded firearm, even if your state says it is.
I plan on being in Wisconsin over Christmas so I'll be "fanny pack transporting", the best you can do in these "right denied" states.
