OK, I tried griping my pistol after watching this video, and I do see the offset he's talking about. Funny, I never noticed that before. Anyway, I used the pivot he describes, and sure enough the pistol lined up with my arm. However, boy, was it uncomfortable and awkward! I'll try this at the range just to see if it makes any difference in accuracy. But, I can tell you right now that there is no way I could learn to grab my gun in a hurry with that pivot in place. Maybe this is a good idea for target shooting, but I just don't see any tactical, self defense application for it.
