It has been tough for the last few days. It was up to 600,000 with out power and we have many friends with out power and could be that way for 10 more days.

We have been working with our church to feed and house 500 + that have been forced from their homes. My family, including my kids, were able to help cook, clean and set up cots. The cots were provided by the Red Cross.

This is a perfect example of what Americans need to do.

1: Plan for a Disaster -Have food, water, extra heat source
2: A Plan if you must evacuate your home - What to take, where to go.
3: Alternate ways of communication.

While spending time at the Church, my pastors were there working with the folks. Everyone of the Staff asked how my family was doing and then said "Nevermind" we know you are prepared. I have been talking to them for years about having a plan for every emergency.

We are not survivalists, but rather practical. No bunkers or Constantina wire, but just the basics and enough to help others.

Keep Oklahoma in your prayers as we take some time to dig out. Thanks.
