Not so, I hope. I tend to believe the NRA on this issue. I've sent them enough of my money, I guess I'd best believe what they say.

Sadly, George, I think GOA is on target on this one. When Chucky Schumer is the one to promote it and Carolyn McCarthy describes it as a wonderful Christmas present, I am not encouraged that it means anything at all good for us.

If they want to do something good for firearm owners, let's repeal Brady (not just the act, I mean Sarah and Jim!), outlaw the VPC, or hey, here's a novel thought: Pass a law that if a property owner's policy disarms a citizen who later comes to harm as a direct result of that policy, the property owner is 100% personally liable if the assailant is not found and prosecuted, and 50% liable even if the assailant IS found. Same goes for any legislator who introduces a bill that disarms the citizenry.

There is still hope that Bush will veto HR 2640. He has seven more days to do so. If it's not law by the end of the year, it's not law. As I posted, I wrote my letter. Anyone else do likewise?
