Drill, Drill, Drill and when your done with that Drill some more, this should be the mind set of every gun owner out there. It is scary how many people who have CCW's shoot. I vast majority only come to the range to try and requalify, that make me pretty scared.
Anyways(as I step off of my soapbox), let's talk about a drill that I like. So many people get on the range, hang up their flap targets, send them down range and shoot. Know how many of you out, there think that when the BG comes at you, he is going to come at you like that target, flat, giving you a big target? I think not baby puppy! They are going to blade off, giving you as little as possible to hit. So let's try to shoot that way sometimes at the range. Try this: get your target in hand, crumble it up to a little ball. Open it up, but still leave it unshaped, so that it gives dimensons and shadows to the target. Next take your ever handy folding knive and put a few slashes into the target, giving it even more dimensons. Now hang the target up, and take some shots. Evaluate...How does the changes to the target effect your shooting or your target acquisition?
