Now that is my favorite commissioned bomber of all time. That includes the B-2 that can only fly at night and then only good weather. The B-58 was made to penetrate into the Soviet Union with its payload and outrun Soviet intercepters.

Only superior all purpose bomber would have been the B-71 Valkyrie. Even faster, But only two built and those crashed in testing.

I once saw a B-58 in flight at night from Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Can't say I saw anything of the plane itself. But, the flames from the engines wer a wonderful site as well as the roar of the engines.
