Congrats - but when you wander through WalMart - look for others. It is a fun game. I have seen very few except for those who carry in a fanny pack.

I am glad your CCW came through - :D

I do agree it is a fun game i have seen three one of whom accidentally showed his.

Bill,
no worries, i will use that one cause i have about 10 friends who want a permit now.

George,

Sunday,

Thank you, and be safe out there are avoid condition white

I have noticed that a lot of CCW holders go to Wal-Mart for their first carry experience. Is there any particular reason for that?

My first CCW experience was a trip to Smith's Food King. It wasn't that I wanted to go a store to see what would happen. It just happened to be the first place I had to go.

Everyone talks about going to Walmart with their new CCW - so everyone after them does it to say "Me too".

It's a pretty CCW-friendly place, with a lot of people around but they're oblivious to what anyone else is doing. Besides, while you're there, you may as well get some ammo.

I understand Walmart corporate policy is to allow firearms carry in their stores based on the state statutes where they are located. So if your state has no prohibition against concealed carry or open carry it should be legal in Walmart. I did however find one in a shopping area in Akron Ohio where the lot had a no-firearms sign posted as you came in the lot. Maybe the property owner there prohibits and Walmart leases from them.

It's kinda funny in a way. Guys announced receipt of their CCWs and a subsequent trip to the local Wal-Mart. The rest of the guys in the thread post about the nachos. It's gotten be a tradition of sorts.
