This person is one of those that should not ever be allowed to carry a Gun.
Actor Playing Brutus Accidentally Stabs Himself in 'Julius Caesar' Production
ASPEN, Colo. — Julius Caesar lay dead and Brutus was talking to his co-conspirators about swords and blood when he paused and excused himself, saying "I seem to have stabbed myself."
Aspen actor/director Kent Hudson Reed accidently cut his leg open with the knife he was using in an outdoor performance of "Scenes From Shakespeare's Julius Caesar" on Wednesday.
He tried to carry on, "but my boot was filling up with blood and I was flubbing my lines, wondering if I was going to pass out, wondering if the audience could see the blood."
Reed said the show would go on, although Brutus might be limping for a while.
Any one else know some folks that should never be near a CCW Permit?

I sympathize with notion that some people are just not qualified to carry. What comes to my mind are those folks who just seem so darned immature about guns and shooting. If you've been around guns for a while, I'm sure you've met some of them. Regardless of their age, they talk excitedly and unrealistically about guns and what they might do with them, giving you the feeling you're talking to an inexperienced adolescent. They are in sort of a fantasy euphoria about guns. They make me very nervous, and I would never go shooting with one of them.
However, the right to bear arms is just that, a right. Those people are citizens just like me, and unless they are legally disqualified from owning a firearm, they should continue to be allowed to exercise that right. I just try to steer clear of them.

As previosly stated, it is our right to do so. The state determines who should qualify. I think the current system in my state does a good job, allowing many good people the choice to carry. As long as an indivdual is qualified, they should be issued a permit. Anyone is susceptible to crime, anyone has the right to defend themselves, CCW or not.
But I know what you mean for sure. Sometimes I see people display such bad safety habits, it's scary! I wish they would just take a class. Many ranges offer free gun safety classes like twice a month. It's kinda fun.

Yes, but I do beleive that it is our responsibility to talk to people like that. You can approach them in a friendly manner and discuss what their beliefs are about how to handle safely. But in any event, I think we all have a responsibility to police ourselves.

I was once at a target range and shooting 50 yd targets with a friend. Next to me was a guy teaching his wife or girlfriend to shoot. They had a silouette target at the closest point, a mere 15 feet. I watched the 2 of them go through 3 boxes of ammo. Out of that, they managed to hit the target only twice. I was laughing pretty hard. Now these two should never even touch a gun until they get some instruction. I suppose I was fortunate that they didn't shoot into my bench. Never much cared for sillouette targets either. I go with standard NRA bullsey targets. Long as I stay within the X ring I have faith I can hit other targets.
Basic training, we had a guy that should not have hand grenades. His arm would dislodge at the shoulder attempting to throw one. Almost killed a few others and instructor finding that out.
