Have you all, had any issue's with your belt loops breaking or pants tearing. i think it is the paticular holster, that i was using at the time cause i have not had much of a problem since i switched to a leather holster. but i had three pairs of pants rip and two were the belt loops ripped in the same spots.

I've used leather holsters forever with no issues. I have one Fobus holster, but it doesn't get used much at all. How did you attach the holster that would affect the belt loops?

between belt and pants, basically a revered right handed holster so that i as a lefty can use it. now the way i had it (will attempt to get some pictures on here of it from my past) did not put any pressure on the pants or the loops

XD's, like my glock are a fairly heavy carry, if your pants are looser and don't support some of the weight of a holster i can see it weighing down on your pants straining belt loops, or it could just be a the kydex. I use a Galco Cozy partner, and it distriputes the weight very well.

Sounds like a holster problem. I have also used leather holster for years and have never had a problem with any of my pants ripping. also look at how you wear your gun. It should ride behind or infront of your hip, not right on the hip. If you wear right on the hip, you may outline, or may be yapping against things without knowing

Never happened to me.

I'm thinking that you're wearing your belt too loose. I cinch up pretty tight when wearing a belt holster. If the belt were too loose, the weight of the holster could be on the belt loops instead of the leather. Just a thought.
