    Default Surefire L4

I love my Surefire L4, which is a 100 lumens light with an LED bulb and runs on two #123 batteries for three hours. I purchased some Li-ion rechargables and it has saved me alot of time and money. Best light I have ever owned!!!

There is an article in the November/December 2008 issue of Concealed Carry Magazine on LED Tactical flashlights. They mention the Surefire LED flashlights and Streamlight. There has been much improvement in the LED lights in the last couple years apparently. In the case of Streamlight they mention improvements on 2007 models.
Remember the 1991 Luby Cafeterria Massacre of the Unarmed (Kileen, Tx before Concealed Carry) Do we need 23 people to die similarly in Illinois before we have effective self defense?

I use either surefire or pelican. The pelican is less money but great quality, too.

I only use them as flashlights though, not as weaponlights.

For Christmas, Santa brought me a mini-maglite 3 Watt LED flashlight. It has a bluer light, and seems brighter (it is at least equal) to my Surefire, at half the cost, and running on AAA batteries. Again, this is just a flashlight, not a tacticool weaponlight, but I thought I'd throw that idea out there.

I like the Surefires myself. Bought the wife an E1e . I have an E1L and a 9P . I have the standard and the upgrade 200 lumen bulb for the 9P. The E1L is the old 25 lumen rateing. I really like these lights but I am sure there are others out there as good and maybe even better.

I have heard a new name ( to me anyway ) in flashlights , called fenix ?? They look like a good light but don't know anyone who owns one.

Tuna.. which Surefire do you own ??? I recieved a mini-mag led ( 2 AA batteries ) from a friend but it isn't as bright as my E1L ( single 123 batt. )

I like the E1L because it is small enough to carry in my front pants pocket .

    I've got the 6P with a 65 lumen lens.

Works great, but the batteries are pretty costly, that's why I like the AAA's of the minimag.

It is Fenix. While I haven't handled one, you can look at them here. I've heard good things about them too.
